Hey there, I’m Tanya - welcome to High on om!
I’d shake your hand, but honestly, I’m more of a hugger (unless that makes things awkward—then I’ll just wave and pretend we didn’t make eye contact).
A little about me? Well, I once tried goat yoga and quickly learned that goats don’t respect personal space. But that’s not the reason I started this whole thing—though it does make for a great icebreaker.
I’ve been sober for 17 years (which is wild to say out loud), and I found yoga about five years into my recovery. It wasn’t some magical floating-in-the-air, levitating experience—nope, it was messy, real, and exactly what I needed. But here’s the thing: recovery can feel too serious sometimes, and yoga can feel too mystical—so I figured, why not bring the best of both worlds together?
Because guess what? Sobriety isn’t boring. In fact, it’s the most freeing, wild, and honest way to live. And yoga? It’s not just stretching or looking cute in leggings—it’s a tool for survival, a way to connect, breathe, and handle life’s chaos without losing your mind.
So, here we are—High on Om. A place where we talk real life, mix Rule 62 humor with deep spiritual work, and make yoga + recovery accessible, relatable, and fun. Because at the end of the day, I believe in one thing:
“I have to give it away to keep it.”
So let’s flow, laugh, heal, and maybe—just maybe—find a little peace in the mess.
Welcome to the journey. You in?
“I must give it away to keep it.”
